I set a more aggressive goal for the month of June, and I
fell well short of the mark. My goal was
to reduce my weight to 325 lbs from 343 lbs.
My goal was to lose 18 lbs. The
result was that I got down to 333.6 lbs.
I only lost 10 lbs. All things
considered with the ups and downs of this month I think it was successful month.
This month I spent more than a few days hanging out with
friends, and spent at least 3 nights getting hammered with my good friends
which I haven’t done in years!!!!! So
from a personal stand point it was a huge win-win all around, as I reconnected
with friends that I shut out because of my weight.
I just heard from one the other day he’s getting engaged
next month. Which is great, but it’s
another sign that I’m aging and need to get this weight off fast to enjoy what’s
left of my youth.
The challenges I face this month are that I’m going on
vacation for my Dad’s 70th birthday to the
, and going to at least one DMB show to see my buddy. These events have different inherent
challenges. The DMB show will be far
easier as it’s a one or two day event at most.
I’m concerned about
because I won’t have access to a scale.
I’ve thought about buying one down there and then just sending it back,
but it’s hard to find a scale that will handle weights over 300 lbs in just any
I am committed to getting down to 320 lbs. It would be the first time since 2003 that I
have weighed less than 330 lbs.
I’m so close to turning the corner and then really aiming
for the 200 lbs mark.
