Today my trainer and I started the first in a series of outdoor cardio workout sessions. If one might forget that they are fat, doing cardio outside in 90 degree heat reminds you very quickly how fat you are…
My workout involved embarrassing myself in front of elementary school kids who found it funny watching the fat guy try to jog around the soccer field. They actually served as motivation not to give up during our cardio supersets.
The following circuit routine was performed 3 times.
- Deadlift squat into press with 15lb flex bar 1 minute 30 seconds
- Run up and down a hill with 8lb rubber ball 1 minute 30 seconds
- Kettlebell Swing into overhead swing with 15lb Kettlebell 1 minute 30 seconds
- 1 Lap Around Soccer Field
Next exercise was 2:00 of squat, and shot putting the 8lb rubber ball, chasing it down, and then squat-shot putting again.
Final Exercise was 3 sets of pushups 10 reps each against a bench. We didn't take any videos of the actual workout because my brain was so fried, I just didn't remember I had a camera. It took 6 minutes to walk to the park before the workout, after the workout it took 12 minutes.
I know the workout routine in overall quantity is very small, but until today we have only been working primarily on lean mass building, I learned today that all the time spent lifting has made me significantly stronger, but my endurance is still very low. We will try to film some footage of my fat butt trying to run or jog, it’s like watching two senior citizens make out, it’s not pretty.
Below you will see the end result of my efforts.
