Day 8 Weigh In & Rest
I am a convert. Last night at 11:00 PM PST I spent an hour in the gym lifting weights, because I felt I hadn’t worked hard enough yesterday. I did a workout which included Chest, Back, Biceps, Triceps, and Abs, using weights that were challenging yet a weight I could do at least 15 reps.
This morning I tried sleeping in, it didn’t work. I’m not sure why I can’t get more than 6 hours of sleep, I’ve tried everything include working out at night. Even with 6 hours of sleep I am physically more functional then when I sleeping eight hours.
Here are the numbers:
3/20/11 3/27/11
372 lbs 357 lbs
40% Body Fat 39.5% Body Fat
Today was a day of rest; even Baby Jesus had to take a day off. The day was spent at the Camarillo Outlets in Camarillo, CA. The mall is about forties minutes away, by far the largest outlet center I have ever been to, it has just about every store you would want at a shopping center.
It was nice to go somewhere in normal clothes, not carrying a camelback, and not having people in neon green jackets follow you around. The highlight of this day for me was the lunch we had at the food court. In choosing a place to eat Subway was the logical choice. Even with the nutritional information it was tougher than I thought it would be trying to stay within our caloric allotment. Having other people who were trying to accomplish the same thing made it easier.
I did get to live a bit vicariously through our driver Kent today. Kent is canuck from Calgary. He also lost 15 lbs this week, and loved every minute of it. The combination of cheaper prices on goods, and the loss of 15 lbs gave him a lot of incentive to try on new clothes. In trying to be supportive I picked a couple of items for him to try on, if you didn’t’ get the context you probably would have thought we were a gay couple out for a weekend shopping excursion.
I am excited for the week. I want to find out how much stronger I’ve gotten. My goal is to lose another 15 lbs. I have 3 personal training sessions set with Sam & 3 personal training sessions with Michael. I also have 2 massage appointments setup.
By for now…
